Welcome to our Orange County Heritage Trail project, where Dillon & Semenovich Inc. played a vital role as a Subcontractor in Phase 2 of this transformative initiative. Project Overview: In Phase 2 of the Heritage Trail Project, we extended the trail an impressive 4.2 miles, stretching from Hartley Road in Goshen to East Main Street in Middletown, NY. This milestone extension brings the trail closer to the hearts of local communities, creating new opportunities for outdoor activities and leisure.

Ensuring Accessibility and Compliance: Our dedicated crews worked diligently on installing the compacted subbase for asphalt pavement, meticulously ensuring that the walkways adhered to strict ADA regulations. This commitment to accessibility allows people of all abilities to enjoy the trail’s beauty and benefits, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.

Overpass and Entrances – Overcoming Challenges: The Heritage Trail’s continuity posed unique challenges, especially at the overpasses at Dolsontown Road and Genung Street where the trail crosses.  Our skilled crews worked on these critical structures, providing a seamless passage for trail users and emergency vehicles. Despite limited access points for heavy equipment, we successfully executed the overpasses and crafted well-designed entrances to the trail.

Connecting Communities, Enriching Lives: With the completion of this segment, Orange County residents and visitors can now savor a picturesque journey, running, biking, or walking from Middletown to Harriman.
