Welcome to our Kingston Roundabout project, where Dillon & Semenovich Inc. served as a Subcontractor, contributing our expertise in stonework to create a visually stunning and accessible intersection in uptown Kingston.

Project Overview: At the heart of this project was the desire to maintain the historic Main Street appeal of uptown Kingston. Our team took great care in designing and executing the bluestone walls, sidewalks, and the captivating “Teardrop” Landscape Area. By seamlessly integrating these elements, we ensured that the roundabout became a fitting tribute to the city’s rich heritage.

Enhancing Accessibility and Traffic Flow: A key focus of the project was to enhance accessibility for all users, including pedestrians, cyclists, and those with disabilities. With careful planning and collaboration, we designed a walkway in the Landscape Area that met ADA compliance standards while harmonizing with the historic aesthetics of uptown Kingston. The new traffic pattern also improved overall traffic flow, making the intersection more efficient and safer for all.

Efficiency Ahead of Schedule: Despite the challenges of limited staging areas for equipment and materials, as well as limited work zone space within active traffic zones, we successfully completed the project ahead of schedule. Our dedication to efficiency and meticulous project management allowed us to overcome obstacles and deliver exceptional results promptly.
